FAQ
Q: Shipping Cost
A: Definitely our most popular question, at E.S. Pittman we use a variety of couriers which helps lower our costs. To further enhance the process, we have decided to put in a tiered system based on dollar values for our binding supplies.
Q: Where do you get your wire?
A: We import our wire from Asia, we visited several manufacturers in Asia to ensure the wire quality and working conditions were satisfactory to our standards. We would have preferred to buy form North America to reduce our global footprint, but because of exclusivity to another company this is not possible.
Q: Concerns of Double Loop wire Quality
A: The material for our wire is produced by Bekaert steel, a giant in the industry. Our wire is formed on Kugler-Womako and Bielomatik formers to ensure quality and pitch accuracy and all our wire is tested by Canadians for Canadians.
Q: Wire Pricing, many people ask us why if the wire comes from Asia, is it not less expensive?
A: The answer is easy, we could buy our wire from other suppliers in Asia that sell there wire much cheaper, the problem is it is an inferior product with virtually no product control formed on small homemade formers. What good is cheaper wire if your machine is down 35-50% of the time because of pitch issues.
Q: Where do you get your plastic coil?
A: We are proud of the fact that all our plastic coil is Canadian made, our filament is produced in either Quebec or Manitoba, our coil is formed on site in Ontario. Not all but most of our competitors receive coil shipped from Asia to the U.S and then to Canada, a huge global footprint.
